To determine the amount of stone needed for a project, calculate total square footage of the project area. This can be done by multiplying length x height. Subtract the lineal footage of outside corners to determine the amount of corner pieces required. One lineal foot of corners cover approximately one square foot. Subtract square footage of area covered by corner stones to determine remaining square footage for flat stone.
We recommend you add 5% to your square footage estimate for normal cuts required for installation. For more complex installation jobs requiring intricate cuts or patterns, it is recommend that you add 10% to your square footage estimate.
